A new Minks track recorded this year in NYC. Yes, please. Upon first listen it hits all of the pleasure points that makes me love damn near every note of their work. It’s somber, lo-fi, autumnal tone immediately makes me long for the months of falling leaves and light jackets. The post punk guitars are back in the mix, but still provide a wonderful driving rhythm. Just press play. It’s an absolute stunner that will be on repeat for most of the day.

LOTUS PLAZA “Out Of Touch” (Plamist Records, 2011)

Glad to hear new Lockett’s music. The last official release was in 2009. After that he went on tour, produced songs for Black Lips and recorded a new album with Deerhunter. This is one of the two tracks on the split 12” with Odonis, out this summer.
